In partnership with Staffordshire Observatory, South Staffordshire Council has utilised MOSAIC Public Sector software which uses information from a number of sources to categorise types of people living at different postcodes.

This allows us to produce a generalised picture of the behaviours and motivations of groups of people living in particular areas.
 
The majority of parishes in South Staffordshire are made up of a variety of population groups. Looking at the individual localities gives a more generalised view of who makes up the district.
 
The table below shows the top two groups for each locality and what proportion of residents make up the population.

Looking at each of the localities as a whole, it can be seen that the groups consisting of isolated rural communities and successful professionals feature prominently in Locality 1, 2 and 5.
